This Week in Art Club...

HELLO!

I hope you all had a fantastic Mom's Weekend.

This week in Art Club...exciting things...

1. If the weather is good we will do splatter painting (aka, Jackson Pollock Love Day, an appreciation of the artwork of Jackson Pollock) this week (April 15th) during our regular meeting. The gigantic canvas came in, so we will make one large painting that we will donate to Carle Hospital. There will be other paper and canvas if you would like to make an individual painting.

2. Yoga has been moved to next week, April 24th at 6pm. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please let us know if you will be attending, so we can work out rides, as this event will not be on campus.

3. This Wednesday we will be having a VIP Arts Outreach--Art Club cross-over. We will be going to the Center for Women in Transition from 5:45-7:30pm. Please let Vickie know if you are interested. If you would like to go on a regular basis, please let the VIP coordinator know at jdulek2@uiuc.edu We need to let the intern at CWIT know approximately how many volunteers we will have, so please let us know by 7:30am on Tuesday April 15th if you are interested. We play with a group of children, sometimes do art projects, sometimes boardgames...just plain fun with children.

4. T-shirt money is due THIS Tuesday, April 15th by the meeting. Please be sure to contact Meng if you need to arrange and alternate time to drop off money for t-shirts.

5. We will be offering advice on the Chalk Art Contest on Thursday, April 24th at 3pm. Location TBA. If interested, please let us know.

LOCATION of Tuesday's meeting: 398 Lincoln Hall and then moving outdoors if the weather is nice. Check the chalkboards for location if 398 is empty after 7:30pm.
