Winter Lights Festival This Sunday 4pm!

KCSA also has one of their last large events for the semester this Sunday starting at 4pm with our Winter Lights Festival!

The information below comes from the Performances page of KrannertCenter.com.

Come celebrate the wonder of the winter season as the Krannert Center Student Association hosts the Winter Lights Festival. The gathering will feature sparkling performances on Stage 5 from a U of I Symphony Orchestra string quartet, and Chaiway 57, as well as traditional Klezmer music, sign language interpretation of holiday carols, the Muslim Children’s Choir, the UI Swing Society, and a few seasonal tunes from the vocal group No Comment.

Let the music move you from booth to booth as representatives from Buddhists for World Peace, the Intercultural Friendship Foundation, Hillel / Center for Jewish Life, the Pagan Society / Winter Solstice, the Muslim Students Association, the Lebanese Cultural Club, St. John’s Catholic Newman Center, McKinley Presbyterian Church, the Association of Latin American Students, and more share their own perspectives on celebrations during the winter months. The festival will also spread a spirit of generosity toward others by welcoming the Toys for Tots program, which will have a station set up for those who have the ability to donate. The celebration culminates with the lighting of a student-designed display representing the brilliance of the winter season.

Computers/IT Dept New Email Address!

Since the Computers Department was recently renamed the I.T. Department,
we have changed our e-mail address to kcsa-it@kcpa.uiuc.edu. The old
address still works temporarily, but it will be turned off soon, so
please use the new one.

KCSA Upcoming Events-Volunteers Needed

Just writing as a reminder of the events we have going the week after Thanksgiving Break. It'll be a really busy time for everyone I know, but luckily the events are all fun! KCSA is hosting an event in cooperation with iSalsa and Allen Hall on Friday, Dec 5 from 9-11:30pm. Music starts at 9:30 (with DJ!) but the salsa lessons for anyone interested start at 9pm. Then, afterwards, we are all invited to Allen Hall for an after party with food. We will be requiring your help the night of the event recruiting for KCSA and marketing our own Winter Festival. So please please please come if you can and help us out, it'll be lots of fun!
That also brings me to the Winter Lights Festival, which is speeding right along. That event will be 4-5:30pm on Sunday, December 7. We will need to set up sometime before, though we're trying to make it just earlier on Sunday (around 2:30) instead of making you guys come the Saturday night before like usual. yay for a free night! For that we'll need volunteers just like for TOTA. Mason, Amy, one of you good on sound again? It'll be a busy weekend, but great for getting KCSA out there and visible in the campus and community. Thanks for your commitment!
