Performance Cancellation: Ingrid Fliter
The Ingrid Fliter performance scheduled for Tuesday, February 3 at 7:30pm has been canceled due to an arm injury that prohibits Ms. Fliter from performing at this time. Full refunds are available to all ticket holders, who are being contacted by the Krannert Center Ticket Office. If you have any questions, please contact the Ticket Office at 217/333-6280. The free Art in Conversation event scheduled for Monday, February 2 at 5:15pm with Ms. Fliter has also been canceled.

Performance Cancellations: Joshua Redman/Ramiro Musotto
The Joshua Redman performance scheduled for Saturday, May 2 at 7:30pm has been canceled. A change in Mr. Redman's management led to a miscommunication on several performance dates, including his Krannert Center engagement. The resultant conflicting bookings have made it logistically impossible for Mr. Redman to honor both obligations. Full refunds are available to all ticket holders, who are being contacted by the Krannert Center Ticket Office. If you have any questions, please contact the Ticket Office at 217/333-6280. The post-performance Afterglow event featuring Ramiro Musotto has also been canceled.

KCSA Notes
Welcome Back to one and all!
The exec board of the Krannert Center Student Association is tickled pink that you've all come back for another great semester with us. We're happy to report that there are more opportunities to get involved in the arts and outreach than ever. The most important thing for you to know right now is that registration is open! Click here http://www.kcsa.uiuc.edu/registration/ to register! This is the place for us to gather information about what shows you would like to request for ushering, what departments you'd like to be a part of, and all things KCSA in general. Please remember that ALL members of KCSA must re-register EVERY semester, even if you have done so in the past. Once you register, you will officially be a KCSA member (woohoo!) and you will be on our listserv. That means you will get my lovely volunteer info-filled emails every Sunday night, like this! As always, don't hesitate to contact me with any questions about how to get involved, procedure, events, you name it. Now, sit back and take in the KCSA events:
Jeopardy/Game Night: January 27, 7pm, Krannert Room
General Meeting: January 28, 7pm, Festival Foyer

What better way to take a break from your first full week of classes *cringe* than with a fun game night? KCSA will be having board games galore, but best of all a KCSA Jeopardy game! It's a great way to learn more about KCSA (or impress all your friends with your ushering/tour guide knowledge) and earn a little candy. The event will take place in the Krannert Room, which is office the Krannert Center lobby. Just look for friendly faces in the lobby to direct you. Hope to see you there!
***********************
General Meeting!
KCSA's big ole general meeting will be taking place on Wednesday, January 28 at 7pm in the Festival Foyer. Again, just look for people in the lobby to direct you. KCSA adboard members will be available to answer questions about their departments and the kinds of volunteering you can do. Don't be afraid to grill us with your inquiries, we love new members! Also a mass usher training for new ushers will occur directly after the meeting! You must be trained before you can usher a show, so if you're new, try your best to make this one!

And finally, there are some spots open on the KCSA Adboard in the tours department! If you are looking to take some kind of leadership position, build your resume, and/or have a great time, this is the place to do it! Also, there are great benefits for being on the Adboard. Just keep your eyes out for applications and deadlines in notes! Good luck with the beginning of the semester!!!

KCSA also has one of their last large events for the semester this Sunday starting at 4pm with our Winter Lights Festival!
The information below comes from the Performances page of KrannertCenter.com.
Come celebrate the wonder of the winter season as the Krannert Center Student Association hosts the Winter Lights Festival. The gathering will feature sparkling performances on Stage 5 from a U of I Symphony Orchestra string quartet, and Chaiway 57, as well as traditional Klezmer music, sign language interpretation of holiday carols, the Muslim Children’s Choir, the UI Swing Society, and a few seasonal tunes from the vocal group No Comment.
Let the music move you from booth to booth as representatives from Buddhists for World Peace, the Intercultural Friendship Foundation, Hillel / Center for Jewish Life, the Pagan Society / Winter Solstice, the Muslim Students Association, the Lebanese Cultural Club, St. John’s Catholic Newman Center, McKinley Presbyterian Church, the Association of Latin American Students, and more share their own perspectives on celebrations during the winter months. The festival will also spread a spirit of generosity toward others by welcoming the Toys for Tots program, which will have a station set up for those who have the ability to donate. The celebration culminates with the lighting of a student-designed display representing the brilliance of the winter season.
